To Stripe or Not to Stripe?

Striped walls or floors can add a creative interest to your apartment. This white and black striped wall idea from Elle Decor is certainly a unique look, but perhaps a little too prison striped for our taste. But still interesting.

Love the soft lavender and cream look here under a stylish art arrangements. Very creative.

Would you dare? Red and white striped walls with contrasting black and white diagonal striped curtains…wow! A power punch of a room design. Quite expressive.

This blue on blue stripe in bathroom is soothing. The wider stripes give a more harmonious and relaxing feel.

One of my favorite colors is chartreuse, unusual though it is. Here, some unique furniture and color combination over sage and white striped flooring. Truly creative.

This soft striped wall in a bedroom is relaxing and expressive. Sticking with fine stripes set wider apart in hues that blend will bring interest and harmony to a wall space without it being over done.

Hope some of the images provided gave you ideas for working with stripes in your apartment.  Image source:  Apartment Therapy and Elle Decor.
