Loft Love Again

loft love 1I suffer from loft love again. It is hardly suffering, of course. I love the open spaces and all the options you can do with it. Simplicity counts in making a loft beautiful. Love the one above, a bit rough and unfinished, open and fresh. So much you can do in this space. Image via Aphasia Design.

Loft Apartment Love

feature loft of the dayMy breath is taken away featuring this glass-floored loft apartment room found at The Lux Home.  The weird perception created is the long glass table that sits before the sofa on the glass floor (the candlesticks and candelabra are sitting on it). Took some focus, and a slight headache, to figure this contemporary interior space out. Love the slate color and white.

Loft Love – Casa Olivi

Feeling loft love today…and this one is exquisite.  A journey to Italy brings us to the Casa Olivi.  This gorgeous minimalist loft was designed in a 300 year old farm house.  The breath-taking design was done by Swiss architects Markus Wespi and Jerome de Meuron, who I feel did their finest in keeping the architectural details of this house intact.

I absolutely love the rough stone and brick walls that vault to the second floor. Every room opens out with arched doorways bringing in 360 degrees of lush Italian country-side views. A kitchen so minimal and clean. Unbelievable.

Second floor bedrooms with gorgeous white fixtures and windows that open to the view. Peaceful and lovely. Love the wood beamed ceiling.

One of the best parts about this loft: the outdoor terraces for relaxing and entertaining. And check out the view with those rolling hills. Sigh*

The terrace area features this unique infinity pool…This loft is available for holiday let.

Anyone care to go to Italy with me?

Loft Love in Soho

Feeling loft love in Soho today.  This cool and eclectic loft apartment on Mercer Street in the Soho area of Manhattan features too many incredible design ideas to mention. This gorgeous loft maintains most of the original industrial details, including iron columns, the original floors, and these unique tin ceilings.

The owners of the space bring their eclectic taste in with the many collected artworks and furniture choices. The open floor plan is free feeling, yet intimate. Natural light floods the loft from the large windows which still maintain original window casings. The light reflects off white walls and the white tin ceilings to brighten the space.

I love this huge three sides book shelf wall that works as a room divider. The lighting over the table is so unique, as well as the decal art on the walls.

The home office is simple, modern and clean, yet keeps the loft feel.

Can’t get over the light fixture in this bathroom.

A touch of warmth in the bedroom with more reds, mushroom colored walls, and unique wallpaper. A nice combination of masculine and feminine.
