Room of the Week

Room of the weekOur choice for Room of the Week this week features this modern design with a lot of favorites built in. The herringbone wood floors are gorgeous. We love chandeliers, of course, and the huge vintage mirrors are lovely. Victorian touches in architecture make it grand.

Chandelier Style

chandelier style 3A cool way to make your apartment or townhouse a more stylish space is to add a chandelier. I have a passion for them, and they are not just for over the dining room table. Add a chandelier to a living room, bedroom, and even in a larger bathroom for a chandelier style experience.

Wilkes Barre Pa Apartments – Chandelier Love

Visit Apartments to Like.com   Making Wilkes Barre Pa apartments stand out by adding a unique lighting feature to one of your rooms. My love for chandeliers comes into play with the inspired choices presented here. This Serena Drun Chandelier, from Lamps Plus.com would go great over Wilkes Barre Pa apartments service counters or in dining rooms, accentuating any room color scheme.

Beautiful, though a bit pricey ($3,600), I love this black Light Drizzle Candelier by Ochre. The pendants of dark glass are spaced in perfect circles which give this chandelier a unique and stunning appearance of light shining though dark. Great in creative Wilkes Barre Pa apartments.

Into recycling and going green? Then try this creative Hangelier ($150) in Wilkes Barre Pa apartments. This interesting light fixture is crafted from salvaged wood hangers. What a great conversation piece!

You can’t miss with the classic feel of an iron-worked chandelier. This stunning Cassiopeia globe chandelier, from Ironware International, would make a great statement in any Wilkes Barre Pa apartments. The Cassiopeia is named after the Greek goddess, modern and celestial, as the name claims. The chandelier is hand made in France and finished in the USA.

A chandelier will set off the living space of Wilkes Barre Pa apartments. Chrystal with modern is perfection.

Chandelier Fascination in Bedrooms

My fascination with chandeliers continues as I consider them for my own bedroom this week. I’ve been looking at Murano glass ones, a statement of luxury, that need not be limited to grand scale homes, but can work well in smaller apartment spaces if displayed right. They can be an instant conversation piece in any room, of course, but let’s look at some bedrooms.

Love this stunning blue Murano glass chandelier and the beautiful contrast it provides in this soft white room.

Cute room (note the zebra carpet featured on previous post) and the chandelier of Murano glass adds to it. Not crazy about the wall decals, but otherwise it’s an eclectic mix of creativity.

Much as I like the Murano glass, I have to say that this stylish gold chandelier would suit my space more. This smaller style sets off the white pure space. (Love the fringy-furred throw over the bed also).

And I’ve always loved the idea of bedside chandeliers. This image from Living Etc. is lovely and expressive for a guest room perhaps.

This image shows how side-table chandeliers can be hung from wall sconces. Great idea.

Artistic Transformations – Chandeliers

I’ve found that even the smallest spaced apartment is not unworthy of a bit of  artistic transformation, and one can do this by simply hanging a fun chandelier over the dining room or living room.  They add a great highlight, and, like these two examples from Italy Design, can become great conversation pieces.

This inexpensive candle chandelier from Ikea holds 10 candles. No electric wiring required! and it’s only around $30.

One the more traditional side, this Portfolio 4-light Bronze chandelier can be found at Lowes for under $200. We love the Tiffany glass style.

But if your heart is more eccentric, perhaps you’d like this…
