Minimalist Christmas Decor

Christmas is coming and I am fascinated with minimalist Christmas decor ideas. Since a recent downsizing to a smaller place, we plan on keeping it simple this year and I simply love some of the ideas I’ve found. Here, I love those sizable Christmas balls on a small natural tree. Tree pillows are a nice touch as well. Try splashing some red ones in your apartment living room, especially on dark furniture.

I love minimalist gift wrapping in soft colors instead of the traditional reds and greens or silver and golds. Opt for beige, tan, gray and white or black and white for a minimalist Christmas change. Image above and below via Digs Digs.

A great minimalist Christmas decor choice is to add splashes of seasonal lights in odd places such as a regular plant in your apartment or in a large glass vase in the window. Love this super minimal Christmas tree with lights below among the pine cones. Simple cut out decorations are a nice touch. Best of luck with your minimalist Christmas decor!

Un-Christmas Red and Green Decor

Still feeling the spirit of Christmas, but was out to find ideas that make red and green decor look fresh and inviting, and decidedly un-Christmas-like. This red and green and white dressed bed looks fantastic with the gray and white walls. The framed photos, green, set it off without looking like a Christmas room.

Changing up the red and green decor with a passionately designed chartreuse wallpaper makes this space unique. The red lamp, the perfect touch. Love the vintage look as well.

Deep red walls, green borders and furniture…enough said.

A dining space will always look cool in red and green decor. Keeping it simple ends any Christmas vibe. (Cat on table optional).

Even a small apartment space can look cool with red and green decor, especially against white walls.

Christmas is Christmas with white touches including snow flakes and lights. I like the green ivy instead of a traditional pine styled greenery.

Red Decor and Green Decor

In keeping with the holiday season I’ve searched for red decor and green decor ideas, not just for Christmas, but for everyday. I couldn’t pass up this Christmas setting however from Plan a Kitchen. Love those giant red stars and snowflakes hanging around. The red and white mantle is stunning.

Lovely for every day, without a Christmas-y feel. Red duvet over a soft green quilted bedspread. Bringing the green to the walls with nature pictures is a great idea. The contrasting gray walls and white highlights bring it all together. This bedroom idea was found at She Knows.

My Christmas Gift Ideas list is stumping me…what do you give the loved one in your life who has everything and says often she doesn’t need anything? Thankfully I searched Restoration Hardware‘s lovely site and found unique and reasonably priced gift giving ideas. First off, I love these Faux Fur Throws, this one in Linx featured above, for $79.00
