Blank walls in your new apartment or home got you down? Why not print out some of the awesome photos you have stored on your computer and frame them? Creating a photography wall gallery can be a great experience and will make your living space your own. A great idea is to create the gallery of uniform size and matted frames. Display in straight lines for crisp finished effect, or stagger to add artistic flare.

Theme your gallery photos is another great idea. Feature a set of all flowers, family photos, vacation pics, cars, people, pets or animals or travel scenes. Another great idea is to make all pictures black and white.

Vary sizes of frames or matting make for an interesting gallery as well.

Another gallery idea: display frames photos on floating shelves. This makes arranging easy and simple to change up whenever you feel the urge. Replace new pictures occasionally to keep your apartment or home living space fresh and memorable.

With summer finally, and I mean FINALLY, arriving I’m feeling pale blue. Need to recharge your apartment or new home bedroom? Think pale blue as your decor choice, particularly on the walls as it adds to the soothing and relaxing environment.

Another key to pale blue: keep it simple. A small bedroom looks lovely and fresh with minimal splashes of decor.

Celebrity Realestate: Liz Taylor’s Bel-Air Home

Liz Taylor’s Bel-Air house is on the market for $8.6 million. The iconic actress passed away in March at the age of 79. She bought this home in 1981.

In Bel-Air, California, this house is 7,000 square feet on a guard gated 1.27 acres. With four bedrooms, a master suite, fireplaces in all sitting rooms and dining room, all with access to the outdoor pool terrace, this home sounds dreamy. Spawling gardens and lawn complete the picture. Did I mention it has an arbor and hothouse for orchids?

Qualified buyers only get to see the place, so we folk have to settle for pics. Oh, well….More here…

Cheryl Crow Goes Deep

Cheryl Crow’s unique Spanish colonial hacienda is a feast for the artistic eye…and heart. She purchased the 11 acre estate in 1997, when she was fresh off the success of her first two albums. The estate sits nestled in the Hollywood hills, a landscape with three homes, and a few tree houses to boot. She now shares her home with her two young sons, Wyatt and Levy.

When she first moved in, she lived with almost no furniture for a year, giving Crow “a feel for airy spaces, poetic light.” Slowly, “she began to fill the rooms herself, piece by piece, taking a highly personal, richly layered approach to interior design.”

“There are a lot of people who think of me as very straight, very middle America and conventional, so I imagine this place will come as a surprise. I’d hope it would make them think, I need to get to know this person better.”
