Romantic Baths

exotic bathWith Valentine’s Day around the corner we have found luxurious romantic baths for our sweet love inspiration. The “in the cave” feel of this bathroom brings pure interest, although probably not for everyone to live with. Still, would be a lovely romantic experience. Following are a few more romantic baths. Happy Valentine’s Day…Enjoy!

Creating a Chic Bedroom

Moving into a new apartment can be a life-changing experience…and when we’ve settled in we long to make our new space feel like home.  Our main sanctuary has always been the bedroom…and this room should not simply be the place where you let it all hang out, rumpled, tossed, and cluttered.  You can make your bedroom a real chic get-away with a few ideas I’ve found.

Keeping it simple is key to a comfortable space and this Newcastle Bed frame and nightstand are simple, elegant and chic.  Priced around $450 for both pieces at JC Penny.com.

Add more chic with the floor…

The shag rug is definitely still in style and a softly chic way to pamper your toes.  Consider placing one next to your bed for fun and comfort.  www.inmod.com

The simplicity of a glass lamp adds instant glamor and chic to your bedroom. I love these Eva Colored Glass table lamps I found at Pottery Barn for $99.00.

An easy touch to make a bedroom romantic and chic are votive candles.  A set of 8 of these scalloped votive glass candle holders add a nice expressive touch.  These can be found at Lamps Plus.

I love the simplicity of this bedding…White always looks fresh and clean, and can be highlighted with soft colors for added chic.  Here: Harbor House Dots coverlette and shams I found at The Home Decorating Company.

The final tip for making your new bedroom space chic is to de-clutter your bedroom!  Always make your bed, like your mother said. It really does make a difference to come home to a neat and smooth welcoming space.  Keep side table objects to a minimum. Use the drawers of nightstand for books and incidentals.  Keeping your bedroom neat and the floor space free from unnecessary objects is the best way to add chic-ness to the bedroom of your new apartment.

The marble…the furniture….the flowers….all speak of romance….found in this luxury condo in Vallejo, California.  via: American home guides.

My favorite in this selection….a Paris apartment found on writer Claudia Strasser’s blog The Paris Apartment.

Coco Chanel’s Paris Flat

With Valentine’s Day approaching we are feeling romantic, and this Paris flat is a grand example….

The original 31 Rue Cambon is the flat above the Chanel Boutique. This luxurious flat retains the decor chosen by Chanel herself and is used for photo shoots and press interviews.  Simply beautiful…and romantic…

The Romance of Candles

Adding candles to your Allentown apartments can add instant romance, elegance, and a softer mood.  Everyone looks better in candlelight!
Why not start with a classic pair of lead crystal candlesticks like these, found at My Tableware.  They were made in Slovenia and are $84.99.

A fun Valentine’s gift, to someone special, or to yourself are these cute realistic looking cupcake candles featured at Carolina Candles.  A unique fun arrangement of them on a plate and lit would add a nice touch for Valentine’s Day at your Allentown apartment.

One of my favorite delights…the floating candle.  Set them afloat in a large glass bowl of water (add coloring to water if you wish) and light away.  The soft glowing reflections adds warmth and romance to your Allentown apartment.  Light, right before guests arrive.

Along with the floating candles, I found these delightful spheres at Home Decor Arcade.  Just love the shape, and the glass holders. They are scented too!  Would add a nice conversation piece to any Valentine’s dinner occasion.

And here’s a project I’m considering doing…creating my own soy candles.  Found all the simple instructions for a soy candle project at Country Home.  By using some old sturdy glassware that you find in your Allentown apartment, you can make these wonderful decor additions.  Waste not. Don’t throw away the chipped glass. Easy to do, and these are wonderful romantic examples.

Romantic Room Design

With Valentine’s Day approaching, I’ve got the bug to find romance in decor…and some ideas can easily be incorporated into your Doylestown apartment.  Finding an antique mirror like this one for the bedroom adds instant romance…

Taking some romance ideas from this living room and adding them to your Doylestown apartment space can be easily done. A soft white sofa with changeable cover and toss pillows and candlesticks on the coffee table add romance. Another mirror, over fireplace, adds interest.

Instant romance: A canopy bed, soft shades of rose, creative patterns, a crystal chandelier, and gilded frames.  Consider some of these ideas when decorating your Doylestown apartment.

We cannot forget dining in your Doylestown apartment. Soft throws over chairs and double table cloths add instant grace and flow. The peachy tones we think are, well…just peachy.

We can’t forget kitchens!  Is there such a thing as a romantic kitchen? Well, this one suits me.  Adding warm tones to your Doylestown apartment kitchen can bring some romance to an otherwise utility area. Adding warm-colored vases or canisters are a nice touch to counters.
