Pale Blue Bedrooms for Summer

pale blue bedroom 1With summer finally, and I mean FINALLY, arriving I’m feeling pale blue. Need to recharge your apartment or new home bedroom?  Think pale blue as your decor choice, particularly on the walls as it adds to the soothing and relaxing environment.

pale blue bedroom 2Another key to pale blue: keep it simple. A small bedroom looks lovely and fresh with minimal splashes of decor.

Thinking Green

Thinking Green 1With summer officially drawing to a close, I’m feeling…and thinking…green. Not sure why. Perhaps with all the lushness of summer peaked out here in Pennsylvania, and that essence in the air that still feels and smells green, but with an edge of change just around the corner, my green inspiration caresses me. Love this room with emerald green walls, white furniture, and tones of gray to set is all off. An elegant thinking green room for any apartment.

thinking greenGreen can be soft and stately in any apartment bedroom. Love the stripe in green and white combo.

thinking greenWhen thinking green for your apartment or home, the kitchen is an awesome place to enjoy this color. This soft sage speaks of seasonal delights and can be highlighted with any choice of stand-out color, like the feature red here. This makes my green inspiration of late summer feeling like it’s about to fall.  🙂

Summer Style Interiors

I’m not sure if Summer can be considered a style, but summery interiors, with fresh white-ish, soft-cozy furnishings and decor choices make me inspired with the hot season. Keeping cool is the goal…and these interiors give me that feeling. Enjoy.

Patio Planters

I’m still in the summer patio zone, and now considering some unique patio planter ideas for the spring and summer flowers I like to plant to grace our deck. I love these Slate Planters from Stone Forest Outdoor Planter Collection.

For the do-it-yourself person, this incredible yet simple idea using cinder blocks is a dream planter option if you like the modern style. This planter wall can be created in any size for your patio. I would think it would be best, however, as a ground floor, back yard patio feature.

Here are some more unique patio planter ideas. Enjoy!

Shabby Chic Summer…

What speaks of a soft and cool summer than the pure whites of Shabby Chic decor? Love the summer cottage like feel of these design ideas. This room, by far, my favorite. The chandelier is gorgeous.

Love the muted tones and this rough finish table. The painting an awe inspiring splash of subtle color. (Is that my favorite chartreuse color I see?)
